Sales great, service needs a lot of improvement

I really hate having to give this rating, bcs I love the dealership as far as buying a car goes. however the service dept is lacking. we took our 2013 cts , that we purchased from them back in 2016 in for a problem regarding a leak. luckily I had a good aftermarket warranty that covered the repairs, which included several seals being replaced , a torque converter, and bell housing , all bcs they had trouble detecting the leak. then the drive shaft was replaced , even tho the car had no vibration when I dropped it off. 7 weeks to the day , after dropping it off, I finally was able to pick it up . and so far so good. but the communication from the dept when we tried to find out the status of the car was horrible . so , I guess , id recommend them if you are looking to buy a car, but I wouldn't recommend the service dept. and I hate this bcs this is the only place that has ever done anything (oil changes, etc) on it since we bought it, but im afraid ive made my last trip to fort payne. , or at least I hope so.

I would not recommend this dealer.

Friendly helpful great home type people

Service is the best I’ve had a new Chevy every other year and visited other dealers but this donohoo is by far the best. You enter their service shop and Matt will always greet you. When he works on your vehicle he carefully tells you what is wrong. He tells you what needs to be done and explains it in good way. He never belittles you but yet he never goes over your head.

I would recommend this dealer.

Very disappointed

I have purchased 4 cars from Donahoo in Pelham and went to this one ready to pay cash. The salesman was very unprofessional and didn’t to seem to care at all about selling the car. Refused to even listen to an offer.

I would not recommend this dealer.

Great purchase experience

Jamie is young but very patient and knowledgeable of the programs and vehicles he represents. We controlled the conversation and enjoyed the dialogue of purchasing a 2018 Tahoe. He wanted us to consider all vehicle options that met out needs and we drove Suburbans and Tahoes. We purchased a Tahoe and the dealership follow up has been awesome. When we need another GM product we will head to Donohoo!

Efficient and honest

No high pressure, but very helpful. Wesley and his partner were informative and brought the Infinity from Pelham to Fort Payne. We felt like we made a good deal.

Whoo Hoo We Are New

I live in Atlanta Ga, and found the truck of my Dreams located at Donohoo Chevrolet. They held the truck while I made the 2 hour drive. I worked with Jamey, and he was very easy to deal with, and made for a very enjoyable experience. From this point forward, I will always take my business to Jamey and Donohoo for my future needs. They made a stressful experience turn into a dream come true!

Great Service Experience

Poor cutosmer service from salesman

While stationed in Afghanistan I was shopping to purchase a new car once I got back home on AutoTrader. This dealership had the one I wanted. I called from Afghanistan and talked to one of the salesmen. He gave me his cell phone number to text him once I got home in 3 weeks, which I did do to see if I could still get the discounted price. He texted me back reference the car and the price and said he would "get back to me a little later". 8 days later I still had not heard anything. I resent him a text to follow up and his excuse was "he did not have my number saved in his phone". Good excuse, must have deleted my text messages I guess, since text messages are saved on your phone unless you delete them. I recently returned back to Afghanistan to work. Will take my business elsewhere when I return back to Alabama to a dealership where customers are appreciated!

Great Service

I had a 10:30 appointment for an oil change and tire rotation. When I arrived early, Service Advisor, Matthew Fox, checked me in and directed me to the waiting area. Even though I was early, they began work on my truck, and it was ready to go in about an hour. I have received similar service on my previous visits.

Shop at home car shopping experience...

I recently purchased a vehicle from Donohoo Chevrolet. I saw it on Carfax and that led me to their site. The salespeople and staff answered my questions promptly. In their cooperation with Carfax, I was able to do all necessary research on this vehicle from home. I live in Georgia and they're located in Alabama, however, they delivered the vehicle to me and I was able to do all the paperwork in my driveway. I paid by check and as soon as my check cleared, they sent me the title and all necessary paperwork quickly via FedEx. Since this was an out of state purchase, the paperwork was a little different than that with which I was familiar. However, their business staff had all the paperwork assembled, labelled, and explained. This was one of the most efficient car purchases that I've made.....and I did it all from home thanks to Donohoo Chevrolet.

My repairs were finished in a timely matter. Every thing was to my Satisfaction. The Service Dept. was nice and friendly. The area was clean and neat. I have purchased 3 vehicles from this dealership and would recommend to anyone needing a new vehicle. They not only wanting to sell you a vehicle, but want to help service or repair any problems you may have. Great Team - Sales and Service.

C7 Corvette Repair

I bought this 2016 corvette October 11, 2017 with 1804 miles on it. When I did a test drive I discovered that the navigation system didn’t work. They took it in the shop and tried to repair it. They determined that it would have to order a new one from the factory. I like about 3.5 hours away and when the parts arrived they called me to set a time to come get it. They picked it up about 11:30 am and left a new Chevy Tahoe for me to use. They brought my corvette back the next day repaired at no cost to me. Very pleased with Donohoo Chevrollet.

Unable to match ATL dealers

Another point of view compared to all the 5 star raters: Drove to Fort Payne AL from Chattanooga TN to look at a new Chevy Volt. Price looked good online. I was trading in my 2008 Crossfire which was in good condition. The Volt was one of their "Ridiculous Deals" so figured it was their rock bottom price. I brought the trade-in estimate with me from Chevy's own calculator which said price range for my crossfire should be between $8200 to $10000. After looking my car over they said they could give me $6000 for it. I was a bit surprised given that a Nissan dealer had just offered me $8900 for it. They were adamant that it was not worth that and they couldn't do any better. Browsed again online and found the same Volt at an Atlanta dealer. Theirs was actually priced less. I asked them to do a sight unseen appraisal of my Crossfire and dealer said he would give me at least $8200 for it. Sent this written offer to Donohoo giving them a chance to match it and they said they could maybe do $6500 for my Crossfire and couldn't match the Volt price. Drove down to Atlanta and sealed the deal without a hitch saving myself about $2000. Surprised Donohoo would be so far off in price. It pays to look around.
